We offer limited farm visits around the team’s very busy holiday social schedule. Once their off-site schedule has been set, we’ll add farm visit availability.
If you’d like to be added to the mailing list for future availability and when our Farm Visits are open, add yourself to our “Nice List”.
The other months of the year the reindeer are on their summer pastures and we are closed to the public.
Farm Visits are scheduled around the reindeers’ appearance schedule so times and dates may be updated frequently.
The Real Reindeer Encounter:
1 hour hands on experience
No more than 6 people for a small, intimate experience
$49 for ages 12 and over (plus Eventbrite fees)
$25 for ages 11 and under (plus Eventbrite fees)
This is a fully immersive experience where you'll get to handle and interact with our pair of reindeer. This Christmas team spends most days bringing the magic of Christmas to people at Holiday Festivals but their quiet down time at the farm and personal attention is what they love best!
We'll begin with a short introduction to reindeer, unique behaviors and how farm owner Sophia came to have them in her back yard. Then you'll have an opportunity to handle and interact with the reindeer yourself.
This is a fully outdoor experience - after all - reindeer prefer the cold of the arctic! But we'll warm you up with some spiced cider and chocolate chip cookies!
Size is limited to 6 visitors per session for a small, hands on, intimate experience. If you have a larger group, send us an email info@rainierreindeer.com for special accommodations.
Important information you should know:
Because our experience is educational and hands on, it is appropriate for children 12+.
For our younger reindeer enthusiasts, we recommend Watson’s Nursery in Puyallup as a great, free alternative for the smaller children.
If you'd still like to attend this experience with your younger children, please note that they may have to be held for their safety as the antlers are at eye level for younger children.
Covid Safety:
Your safety, ours and our reindeers' safety is of the utmost concern. The following covid safety measures are in place while visiting:
Group size limited to no more than six plus handler
Hand sanitizer will be provided and all guests must use before handling reindeer
Do not attend if you are sick or have any covid-like symptoms. Don't worry, we'll work with you to reschedule or offer you a refund. We want you to stay home and get well.
